Choosing the correct size boxing glove can sometimes be the most important part of your boxing workout, boxing gloves not only offer protection for your hands, they will also add slight resistance to your arms adding tone and muscle depending on the size.
Boxing gloves typically come in sizes from 8to 18 oz, we will try to offer some information for you to consider so you will be happy with your purchase.
With a heavy bag workout or sparring with a training partner, choosing the correct boxing gloves
Is important and you have the following three issues into consideration
Body Size
Boxers of different sizes would normally have different size gloves, Larger fighters, heavier boxing gloves, maybe 16 to 18 oz gloves, this will offer more protection for their hands as they generally throw more powerful punches.
For those boxers who are a bit smaller, they could get away with a smaller glove, say around 12 – 14 oz, as the larger gloves would become too heavy after throwing a reasonable amount of punches, then making it a bit harder to defend themselves.
